About....
Matt Price’s music career began in 1997, spanning a journey from intimate bars to major festivals across the UK and beyond. Over the years, he has shared the stage and collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Justin Wilkes, Dave Pearce, K-Klass, D:Ream, Charlie Hedges, DJ EZ, Flawless Promotions, Brand New Heavies, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Bruce Foxton and From The Jam, Wheatus, Hadouken, Alex P, Elliot Minor, Young Knives, Adam Ficek, and the Stanton Warriors.

Matt has also been associated with some of the industry’s most influential promoters, including Cream, Ministry of Sound, and Slinky. His performances feature an energetic fusion of techno, trance, and house, with a signature focus on Trance Classics and Dance Anthems that captivate audiences and celebrate the timeless spirit of electronic dance music.

In 2022, Matt’s life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with a large Acoustic Neuroma — a rare, benign tumour on the vestibulocochlear nerve, which connects the inner ear to the brain and controls hearing and balance. Due to the tumour’s size and progressive hearing loss, surgery became unavoidable. In 2024, he underwent a successful operation to remove the tumour, resulting in total hearing loss in one ear.

For a DJ with more than 25 years behind the decks, the prospect of single-sided deafness was daunting. Mixing music — a craft that relies on finely tuned auditory perception — suddenly became an extraordinary challenge. Through determination, resilience, and innovation, Matt re-learned how to mix using just one ear. The experience reshaped his relationship with music and stands as a powerful testament to adaptation and perseverance.

Matt continues to share his passion for dance music and can be found performing at venues and festivals across the area.

Since 2013, Matt has hosted the weekly “Dance Anthems” show on Radio Woking, which has twice reached the finals of the UK Community Radio Awards (2024 and 2025).

He also guest mixes for several other stations, including Safehouse Radio.

Matt’s story is one of creativity, courage, and an unbreakable love for music — a reminder that even when the rhythm changes, the beat goes on.
