About DJ Matt Price
Three Decades of Clubs, Festivals & Radio
UK trance and dance music DJ Matt Price has been behind the decks since 1997, building a career spanning club residencies, major UK venues, festivals and radio.
From long-running residencies across the South of England to appearances at Ministry of Sound, Slinky and GuilFest, Matt's sound has evolved across nearly three decades while remaining firmly rooted in dance music.
The Story So Far
Matt Price began DJing in 1997, starting a career that would take him from local club residencies to some of the UK's best-known dance music venues and festival stages.
His early years were shaped by long-running residencies across Surrey and Hampshire. From 1997 to 2013, Matt was a regular fixture at the Aldershot venue that evolved from Cheeks to Vox and later The Palace. He also held a long-running residency at Jaxx in Fleet, alongside around five years at The Funky End in Aldershot.
From Club Residencies to Major Venues
Those residencies became the foundation for appearances at venues and events across the UK. Matt has played at Ministry of Sound on several occasions, Slinky at Bournemouth Opera House, Liquid in Newbury and Volts in Kingston, alongside numerous clubs and events across the South of England.
Through the late 1990s and 2000s, his sets became known for energetic dance music, with trance playing an increasingly important part in his sound. Today, his sets range from Trance Classics and Dance Anthems to melodic trance, techno and deeper house sounds, depending on the event and dancefloor.
GuilFest & Festival Stages
Matt first appeared at GuilFest in 2011 and returned in 2014. More recently, he has become a regular fixture in the festival's Dance Tent, headlining in 2024, 2025 and 2026.
His 2026 headline appearance featured a three-hour set spanning trance, dance anthems and classics, bringing together music from across his career alongside newer sounds.
